Due to strong growth and increasing demand for our premium imagery, LiDAR and award-winning AI solutions, we are seeking a Product Owner to join our growing team.

About the Role:

This role will see you involve with leading the product roadmap and development for our platform tools and frameworks within our Software-enabled Aerial Imaging Team. This is an exciting role as you will take ownership of our new platform strategy that focuses on a dynamic geo-content experience.

You will collaborate with customers to understand their needs and contribute to the platform strategy. Additionally, you will help evolve our platform offering using modern agile practices. You will work in a cross-functional agile team that consists of Platform Architects, Technical GIS Specialists, Data Operations, and most importantly, Customer-centric leaders.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development and implementation of our geo-platform supporting critical workflows and customer interactions.
  • Own the platform configurations, customisation, and performance related changes to enable a quality client experience.
  • Work with technology and business stakeholders to design solutions meeting Outline Global standards.
  • Provide expertise and functionalities via the platform to address project and user queries and needs.
  • Identify, analyse, and communicate product requirements, collaborating with your team on feasibility and effort estimates.
  • Facilitate workshops and forums for product support, feedback, and improvements.
  • Give stakeholders early visibility into potential solutions and the product roadmap.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to drive innovation and maintain up-to-date tech.

About you:

  • Proven experience and knowledge in a Product-centric environment (+4 years).
  • Strong understanding of agile and product management practices, including agile software implementation methodologies.
  • Practical experience of DevOps and software release disciplines, including cloud infrastructure as code, will be viewed favourably.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with modern software and data frameworks and patterns.
  • A good communicator with ability to convey vision, concepts, and stories.
  • Certificate in design thinking and product implementation viewed favourably.

About the Role:

Playing a critical role in helping the team achieve new customer acquisition and revenue goals, you will be engaging directly with the market and seeking to convert leads into customers.

Responsible for growing the business, you will partner with the technical team to identify and win major opportunities whilst learning on the job.

Accountabilities:

  • Research and identify potential viable customer opportunities to build a qualified pipeline and turning those leads into sales.
  • Acutely understand individual customer needs and requirements and match that with an in depth understanding of Outline’s product solutions to ensure best fit solutions.
  • Find opportunities to improve and streamline internal processes.
  • Establish and grow relationships with key executives at target accounts.
  • Develop and maintain leading edge marketing material and identify marketing opportunities.
  • Provide support to inbound customer enquiries and manage the customer relations team.
  • Provide effective internal communications of progress schedules between operational areas of the business.
  • Project manage the successful execution and delivery of projects. Provide management and project management support and coaching to other team members.
  • Socialise and bring the Company purpose and values to life internally and to our customers.
  • Facilitate team building and teamwork.
  • Celebrate successes.

Capabilities:

  • Proven business development, marketing and sales knowledge and experience (+5 years).
  • Project management skills.
  • People leadership skills. The ability to influence people and to demonstrate the “why” and to hold them to account in a transparent and psychologically safe way.
  • Remote sensing, GIS or general spatial industry experience and technical literacy and the ability to understand technical language within the realm of the survey/spatial industries would be seen as beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, proactively, and accurately with colleagues.
  • Ability to connect with the customer and to create customer confidence in Outline’s ability to deliver.
  • Exposure to SAAS/Data As A Service businesses.
  • Ability to compellingly articulate Outline’s product offering to audiences of varying levels of technical skill and seniority.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn and most importantly asking questions.
  • Ability and flexibility in multi-tasking.
  • Represent customers internally.
