Crocodile Photo Bomb!

September 1, 2022

Measuring a crocodile might not be part of our everyday job, but sometimes it just comes with the Territory. One of our aerial survey crews using LiDAR and colour imagery to gather highly accurate mapping data for a client’s project, when a crocodile wandered into our shot. Incidentally, we were able to measure the exact length of the crocodile, to the centimeter (320 cm). It wasn’t related to our client‘s project, but it’s still pretty cool! Just goes to show you really can use LiDAR for just about anything.
